If there’s one thing that I love most – it’s satisfying the kid in me. When everyone else is dying to read (or watch) Fifty Shades of Grey, I chose to go on an adventure with Charlie, Willy Wonka and the rest of the Bucket family.
If you think you’ve seen it all at the Chocolate Factory, if you think you’ve seen where the elevator can take you (or seen all that it can do), if you think that the Oompa Loompas are the most out of this world creatures you’ve seen, guess again. Willy Wonka still has tricks under his sleeves. This time the whole family gets in on the adventure. Their factory field trip has ended and this time Mr. Wonka takes them out of planet Earth aboard the Great Glass Elevator.
Although deemed as selfish and unbearable by Charlie’s three other grandparents, Willy Wonka once again delivers some of the best morals that our society needs.
But what I love most about this book is that it encourages us to learn how to trust, to be content, and get out of our beds so we can see where our little feet can take us. This Chocolate Factory sequel is as fun and exciting, with new amusing characters to watch out for.
